Christmas shopping. Two little words that pack a whole lot of punch.
For some it conjures images of pretty shop windows, decked out with picture-perfect decorated tress and colour schemed displays of appealing gift ideas, for others it’s more a fearful image of packed car parks, long queues at the check out and lists that never seem to end.
Ahh the spirit of Christmas shopping! What to buy the teenagers? Do I have to buy for Uncle Ned and Aunty Gwen? Is there ANYTHING on Kiara’s list that costs under $300?? Under $100??
I’m here to remind you that the joy is in the giving.
It really is, car parks and check out queues aside. And I can also give you a hand. Your own private shopping guide! Over the next four weeks, I’ll be sharing ideas for gifts to cover all kinds of personalities and situations this coming Christmas.
So whether you’re gifting for friends, family, co-workers, teachers – I’m here to help. And if you have a request for gift ideas for a particular person, let me know and I’ll scurry around Santa’s online workshop and find something that is bound to be on the top of your giftee’s list. Or their regift list next year, it’ll be top either way!
And if you play Thieving Santa, that game of giving with a cruel twist, I’ll be compiling a special list that will contain the perfect items for people to squabble over on Boxing Day, after a lunch of leftovers, beer and bubbles. I have years of experience in this area, so stick around.
Let’s begin, shall we. Gift number 1. Looking for a little pressies for your gym buddy, nothing over the top, but relevant to your connection to each other and maybe a little quirky?
This great little bag from a favourite online haunt Hard To Find is a winner. It perfectly sums up the relationship I have with my gym buddy and social media mentor Modern Mummy Mayhem and our shared PT, Ange. If my budget was flush, I’d add a pair of personalised yoga pants – keep an eye out for this one later in the week – and a bottle of Bombay Sapphire gin.
For the gym junkie who has everything. Or gin junkie – whatever works.
Disclaimer: All items mentioned in the Goblet Girl Super Awesome Christmas Guide list are items I like personally. I am not sponsored, gifted or paid by anyone to promote them, though I’m not averse to a little bribery and corruption if someone wants to send me each and every item on the list. Now that would be super awesome….
